Kitchen Cabinets, Bathroom Vanities, Custom Built-Ins, Sales Counters! Cabinet Facades, Custom Pieces! If you can envision it, I can do it!
Cabin
These photos show a facade. The original cabinet bodies stayed, the doors were eliminated. The wood was applied as a facade, doors were made from same wood. Drawer faces are covered. Dishwasher was eliminated, interior of that space made into shelves.
Marin House
This photo file shows a large project I completed in Marin. There are 5 bathroom vanities. They were built in my shop, delivered to jobsite and installed by contractor. The kitchen island was ordered from local cabinet shop “naked”. Installed by contractor, then I brought wood and tools to jobsite and completed island facade on-site. The tall mirror in photos was purchased by client at local store, she hired me because of that mirror! The countertops were created from concrete by local artist.
SF Built-in
These photos show a built-in recently completed for client in San Francisco. This is a good example of a hybrid of repurposed materials and new. The client visited my shop and picked out the leaded glass windows. I constructed the cabinet body from plywood, on site, and used repurposed gum wood as trim throughout. The client wanted a more finished look than my usual distressed, sanded wood, so piece was finished with white paint. The side panels will be finished with sliding glass doors, this is intended to show off various art, antique objects. I will post a photo of this built-in with all the “stuff” inside it when I can.
Sales Counters
This photo file shows several sales counters I have made. In one of the sales counters the client decided she wanted a slate chalkboard as part of the front. There are alot of moms with small children visiting the store, also they use it to communicate sales items, etc. Very fun! I have quite a bit of large architectural salvage pieces that would look great as part of some store fixtures.
Custom Orders
Here are some photos of custom pieces. Many of these the client came to my shop and picked out the wood, windows, hardware, etc. Sometimes a piece is created by client seeing a photo of a previous piece, then we design another based on clients specified dimensions. I recently built a kitchen island from a photo supplied by client out of a catalog.
